Coffee Talk on Global Hotspots: the Middle East and Ukraine
2:00 p.m., Harry’s Coffee House, University Center
Experience an intimate discussion and Q&A session on the Middle East and Ukraine with Dr. James Strange, Professor Bob Greene, and Dr. Fred Shepherd. Dr. James Strange teaches New Testament and directs the university's dig in Israel: The Shikhin Excavation Project. Professor Bob Green teaches in the Cumberland School of Law and was a Fulbright Scholar at the the National Academy of Law in Odessa, Ukraine in 2008; he returned in 2010 to lecture and research coastal development around the Black Sea. Dr. Fred Shepherd is a political science professor and has published, taught, and engaged in activism in the areas of US foreign policy, genocide, religion, and human rights.

An Evening with Emmy Award Winner Tony Hale

Tony Hale is a Samford alumnus famous for his roles on Arrested Development and Veep and now author of the newly released children’s book, Archibald’s Next Big Thing.
Learn about Hale’s latest endeavors and hear about his experiences in
Hollywood in an intimate on-stage interview. There will be a chance for
attendees to meet Tony during a book signing immediately following the
event. Copies of Archibald’s Next Big Thing will be available for purchase.
